Please enjoy my very girly, Valentine’s orientated post!

If anyone wants to know where these images are from, there mostly from Tumblr, which I can link you to on request.

I’ve always appreciated those photos that some of my friends take usually when they’re on holidays or just when they’re in a giggley, hyper mood. Those kind of photos where the person is captured as a still in mid air. They always look interesting, due to the way they jumped at that moment and the particular background scenery around them. They’re just a little more amusing and different then the basic ‘stand and smile’ photos. Anyway, I just found out that it’s an actual art and it has a name, “Levitation Photography”.

All these images are sourced from the blog yowayowacamera, a Japanese photographer, Natsumi. Her photos consist of cats and levitating self-portraits. The Japanese word ‘yowayowa’ means ‘weak’ or ‘feeble’, which this photographer describes herself and her images as.

Her self description, “Since I’m yowayowa, it’s really heavy to carry SLR cameras around.” Lovely.

Alas, the summer is finally here! Time to relax, take it easy, have a lemonade…. you could do this, but you could also start slapping on that UV paint instead of your factor +20 sun-cream. This is the time when all the festivals become alive all over the globe. Fortunately I already have my tickets booked for the Electro Music Festival Melt in Berlin. I’m expecting great weather and a fantastic time to be had. I highly recommend it or any of the following: Electric Picnic, Burning Man, Oxygen, Glastonbury, Pukkelpop, Sziget. Just to name a very small amount! But I’ve heard/know great things about all of these. So I leave you with some very nice visuals to get you in the festival mood. I love UV colours!

I had to add this. It’s graphic, UV and a lovely song – Soon We’ll Be Found by Sia.

To celebrate My Little Pony’s 25th anniversary, they invited 25 artists, fashion designers and celebrities to decorate their own pony (18 inch) which were then auctioned off to raise awareness and support for the ‘Give Kids the World’ charity. This childhood toy was always a favourite of mine. However, it had receded to the back of my mind. Thanks to Catalina Estrada’s decorated pony it’s rekindled my love for them again. Great cause too!
